Minnehaha Falls - Trip Details
Minnehaha Falls is located off of Bear Gap Road in Lakemont, GA. The trail is an easy hike at only 0.4 miles round trip. So, if you have children, this is a perfect hike for them! The trail head does offer free parking, but there isn't much space.
The trail is a clear, well traveled path with the trail head marked with a green diamond and the number 147. It follows the river on the way to the waterfall.
This is a great hike in any season, but just like other locations, it may be busier during the summer months.

Panther and Angel Falls are really close and can be accessed off of Lake Rabun Road, just 3 miles away. It will take approximately 9 minutes, and you will have to pay a fee to park at the Lake Rabun Beach Campground.
Another group of falls are an easy drive to Tallulah Gorge. It is only 13 miles away and will take about 30 minutes to get there. You can find some popular waterfalls like Bridal Veil Falls and Hurricane Falls, among others.
