Trahlyta Falls – Trip Details
Trahlyta Falls are located at the outlet of Trahlyta at Vogel State Park, nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest between Cooper’s Creek WMA and Chestatee WMA at the base of Blood Mountain.
There are several options to get to the falls (ordered from shortest to longest).
- You can park on Highway 19/129 and take a short walk to see the falls using the Trahlyta Falls Spur Trail. This will be a quick and easy options for those with small kids and other items on the day’s agenda.
- The 1 mile Trahlyta Lake Loop Trail will also take you to the Trahlyta Falls Spur Trail for a view of the falls with an opportunity to stretch your legs.
More Waterfalls around Vogel State Park
It’s easy to fill a day or a weekend with waterfalling in and around Vogel State Park. Barely 2 miles to the southeast, you can visit the impressive Helton Creek Falls.
Further south on Highway 19, the DeSoto Falls Trailhead will take you to a nice double cascade at the end of your hike.
Cupid Falls near Young Harris is a mere 30 minutes ride north.
